Spring is almost here and our babies are growing so fast! Sebastian, Abigail, and Elsa are on target with their gross motor skills, standing up and sitting down. They love holding onto objects to get around the room, playing pat-a-cake, moving to the cultural music and playing chase games with each other. Emily and Kaitlyn are doing well. They are sitting up and reaching for toys during floor time and trying to roll over and scoot around. Sadie is also rolling over and giving us her baby talk. Jordyn is adjusting very well and letting us know when she is ready to eat. She likes her floor time. We welcomed Jack to our group and bid farewell to Jackson, who was moved on the good time and learning in the Toddler Room. |

This past month was very exciting for the Toddlers. We enjoyed the Mardi Gras parade. Thank you to all the families who joined us! We also learned about feelings, caring and sharing and celebrating Valentine's Day with a special party. Thank you parents for bringing snacks to share with us! The children explored the colors of red, white and blue during President's Week. We are learning so fast! We painted with toothbrushes and talked about our teeth during "taking care of me" week. We wished Tate and Mason well, as they moved up to join the Two's class. Welcome to Jackson Sweet and welcome back Lucas Gould! We are so glad to have you join our class. |

We would like to welcome Tate and Mason from the Toddler Room. We also welcomed Ms. Monique to our room. We're glad you've joined us! Colby and Sophia have moved up to the Threes/Fours Class. We wish you well. We celebrated February birthdays with Emily Crabill, Sarah Walker, and Sophia BenJebbour. Thank you to all of the parents for joining us and helping out at the Mardi Gras parade. You made it way more fun and memorable for us. We also enjoyed a Valentine's Day party and a valentine exchange with our friends. One of our favorite books to read right now is "Clap Your Hands." We love to clap and jump up and down while reading this book. Please take time to read with your child each day. This is so important and the children really enjoy looking at books. |

We began the month of February learning about parades and Mardi Gras. We painted and created our very own floats for the parade and pretended to be kings and queens for the day. The king cake was oh, so good to taste too! Feelings, caring and sharing led to a lot of discussion about our facial expressions and how we look at each other. We talked about all of the children's feelings during the day. If was fun to share these with each other. We learned about our past presidents for a week. The children saw Lincoln's picture on a penny and Washington's picture on a quarter. Presidents are very important people in our country. The last week in February was spent focusing on "taking care of me". We talked about things we liked and didn't like, drew pictures of ourselves and learned how to take care of ourselves. We had a visit from a Dental Hygienist, who discussed proper care of our teeth and how eating fruits and vegetables help keep our teeth strong and healthy. We all got a bag with a new toothbrush too! Thank you Orlando Tech Dental School! We wished Marley and Lexy good luck in the Pre-K! We welcomed Colby, Sophia, and Ms. Kristin Dye to our class. Happy birthday wished went to Sophia BenJebbour. |

The beginning of our month was very exciting because of Mardi Gras. The children were thrilled to be in the parade and ride their bikes and were masks. We also easel-painted with Mardi Gras colors - purple, green, and gold and made collages out of beads. THe children learned about feelings, caring and sharing. During this week, the class made a book about feelings and made necklaces for their friends. The children talked about different feelings they could have and even tried making feeling faces in the mirror. During Presidents Week, the children listened to stories about presidents and looked at the penny, nickel, dime, quarter and dollar. The Pre-K class learned about different coins and their amounts. It was very interesting to hear what the children would do if they were president. Please check out the children's silhouette's, along with their quotes outside our classroom. This past week, the children have been learning how to take care of themselves and about dental health. We really enjoyed our visit from the dental hygienist, who shared with us about good dental health and the importance of eating good foods. Parents, please make sure you only bring a small blanket that will either fit in your child's cubby or fit in your child's bag on the hook. Items cannot be so large that they hang too long or become a tripping hazard in the hallway. Blankets or items too large will be packed up and sent home. Thank you for your cooperation! |
