Austin will continue to work at 310 Park South restaurant on Park Av., which goes towards her degree requirements of working in the field of Hospitality and Event Planning.

Mariah Hoover, daughter of Betsy and Mark Hoover, graduating from MIT, sends this note:

My senior year at MIT has been very busy but also one of the most fun times I have had, too. The fall was full of interviewing with different chemical engineering companies, many oil and consumer products companies. This spring I have had two awesome trips, one to the National Character and Leadership Symposium at the Air Force Academy and the other to Los Angeles for a varsity tennis team training trip. This year the MIT tennis team has been ranked as high as #20 in country for D3, so we've got high hopes for a good post-season as a team and individually.

I will be working for the consumer products company called Reckitt Benckiser in Hull, England next year. I worked for The Clorox Company this past summer in San Francisco and really enjoyed this industry so I interviewed with other consumer companies and found that I was really attracted to the international chance to travel. RB is a British company and has offices all over Europe as well as a few in the US so there are ample opportunities to move around after starting in England. I will be working in their Scientific Services Group which acts as internal consultants for particular product lines - like household cleaning products such as Lysol and Woolite (that's the American names, they're different overseas). I visited the site in January (my first time in England) and I fell in love with the country and people so I am very excited about this new phase in life! I will start work in mid-August and will be home much of this summer "relaxing" and visiting family.

*Dakota House, son of Dorlinda and Jeff House, will graduate from Lake Highland Preparatory School as a Merit Studies student on May 27. He will attend Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, which is about one and a half hours outside of New York City. Vassar College was founded in 1861 and is a highly selective coed liberal arts college of 2400 students located in the Hudson Valley of New York state. On its 1000- acres there are two National Historic landmarks and an organic farm. Dakota is planning to major in the Sciences and Theater. He is looking forward to participating on the college swim team (Go Brewers!) and participating in plays in the Meryl Streep Theater.

Alyssa Larr is the daughter of Maria and Robert Larr, who recently joined Park Lake. She will be graduating from Boone High School on June 2. Alyssa will be attending the University of Central Florida this summer and she will continue there in the fall, majoring in Elementary Education.

*As we go to press we note that Dakota House has achieved his Eagle Scout Award, which he will receive at the Boy Scout Court of Honor on May 13. More about Dakota’s accomplishment in June’s Worship & Work.
