Hello Park Lakers and PLPC Choir!...
It has come to my attention that the thank you card I made, and left for you, during the Mission Fair week, mysteriously disappeared! So, I am writing to you now in hopes that it is not too late to express my sincere thanks for the beautiful reception you gave to me and my family on February 3.
Although I was extremely sad to say good bye to you corporately and individually, it warms my heart to think about the relationships and wonderful worship services we shared together. You are the friendliest congregation I have ever met. You are truly a unique church family in that you are close knit, faithful, and personable. Not all churches possess these traits. I know that my family and I can always visit and find kind congregants offering their time and service in a variety of ways. I cannot wait to see your smiling faces again when I visit. Until then, God Bless you Park Lake, and thank you for receiving me and my family into your church family. To the choir:
I miss you all SO much! I hope that you are all doing well. My new job is going well, but I have to say, that nothing compares to making music with you each and every week. I have so many anthems, introits and "de-troits" as Jody calls them, in my brain to reminisce. That is the beauty of music isn't it? You always have it with you. But still, I miss seeing your faces, warming up, singing a whole bunch of complicated music in record 20 minute time frames! I also miss preparing for our major works, listening to recordings, eating yummy food you prepared to keep us from starving during rehearsal!
Each of you have touched my life in ways you are probably not aware. I really mean that. I have talked with some of you about my children's challenges, my parent's journey to this country, we've shared teaching struggles, singing struggles, you name it we've shared it! What a choir you are.
Thank you for the beautiful vase and wonderful reception, but most of all, thank you for sharing yourselves through music.
Love and blessings to you all
