Don and Wei Hong Snow are PC(USA) missionaries in China. Park Lake now supports their witness of Christ in this increasingly open mission field. Here is how the Mission Connections web pages of www.pcusa.org describe their current service:
“Since July of 2003 Don and Wei Hong have been serving in Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, in eastern China. Don teaches graduate students in the English Department of Nanjing University, one of China's top universities and an institution which the Presbyterian Church had a hand in founding over a century ago. Wei Hong serves as a volunteer at the library of Jinling Theological Seminary, assisting them in computer cataloging their holdings. Don and Wei Hong also serve the PC(USA) as regional liaison staff for China.”
The Snows visited Park Lake last fall and shared with us their roles in serving the educational needs of rural Chinese. They also work with the Amity Foundation, an independent Chinese voluntary organization that promotes education, social services, health, and rural development from China’s coastal provinces in the east to the minority areas of the west.
As China’s economy continues to grow, so will the willingness of Chinese to hear the gospel of Christ. Don and Wei Hong are helping Chinese Christians to spread the gospel to urban and rural areas alike. Please pray for their good health and the continued blossoming of the Word among the Chinese people. |
