The Namumu Partnership Committee is happy to share that not only did the Park Lake Congregation help supply dictionaries and other funds to the Namumu Orphanage but that children from Lake Highland also have become invested in helping the orphanage. The message below is from Alex Hujik.
Greetings: The Lake Highland Project Zambia group presented the Warlicks today with $955.28 to go towards the Namumu teacher salaries and the Park Lake Mission Fair. The project was student driven - they put together the Valentines, baked everything at home and then sold the Valentines and baked goods to fellow students during lunch. We are really excited about the enthusiasm and hard work of the students.
It was great to have the Warlicks at school today - they told stories of students at Namumu and Zambia. Bill and Nancy reinforced, with gracious enthusiasm, the efforts and interests of the group and the importance of supporting the people of Africa.
Tonight at our school dance a couple of the students mentioned how great it was to have Bill and Nancy and Nedson and Sebber speak to them with first hand experiences from Africa.
