Some members of Park Lake (including two board members of the CSC) attended a hard hat tour at the Christian Service Center of Central Florida (CSC). The CSC is undergoing a major renovation and expansion of its downtown Orlando campus to increase its capacity and services for those experiencing homelessness. Plans include a new mental health drop-in center, public bathrooms with showers, and personal storage and mail facilities. The project is funded by a grant from the City of Orlando and community donations.
Despite obstacles, the CSC is helping and preventing homelessness in Central Florida.
