We had a great week at Road Trip – On the Go with God VBS!
Our Green Light verse was: “The Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 We truly felt God’s presence as we journeyed through the week.
73 children joined us for the week, ages 4 years through 5th grade. Most were first timers to Park Lake’s VBS and most were from our wonderful Child Care Center.
Thank you to our 50 adult and youth volunteers who gave their time and talent during the week and before. So, in addition to teaching the children that God loves them and is always with them, VBS helps train up the next generation of servant leaders.
Thank you also to everyone who helped create our decorations and prepped craft supplies. We could not have done VBS without you. It is a huge team effort. Thank you, also, for your prayers. You are such a blessing!
For our Mission Project, we collected over $1300 from our generous VBS families and volunteers to purchase shoes for the children at the Coalition for the Homeless of Central Florida. Thank you for giving to children in need! To find out more about the Coalition, go to centralfloridahomeless.org.
